A Different Point of View

Exactly what it is when you're in high school, versus the "real" world. Today after a week of remembering the good old days, I sat and started thinking about high school. I had a good time, but I did everything in my power to make friends "outside" of high school or spend time away from high school. Not by cutting class but finding things to do that didn't involve me being in high school. Below are my 94, 95 and 96 yearbook photos. I'm missing 93... didn't buy my yearbook! The funny thing is how yearbooks had a "title". Under each picture, I've placed the yearbooks "theme" or "title."

1994 Yearbook Title: A Different Point of View... "Yes what was I thinking! That hair!"

I miss high school friends, not all, just some. Mainly the ones that were always there, anytime, all the time. As we get older we are no longer flexible or available, and that devotion in a friendship I DO miss. I have friends, but non like these from 93! Again, most of them were from outside of high school. I also posted a simple love note from these days. Ahhhhhh! High school love, so simple and un-complicated! LOL! Maciek actually went to a different school and excuse the broken English as he was from Poland. I met him thru my brother and while he was older than me, he treated me with such respect, kindness and love. Rare but true. I recall one time as I was departing in summer of 94' to Puerto Rico, literally getting ready to board I see this young man running toward me and I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me but I was wrong, it was "Maciek" running toward me with roses and a stuffed animal. He looked all embarrassed but relieved to have caught me prior to my departure. My first flowers, which I will never forget. I was so red because my parents were right there... and I was 14! Anyhoo, good ol' days! Enjoy!

Wow. That hair's gotta weigh a ton. And in the South to boot...you must've cooked, girl!

Actually, that's the kind of 'do we need up here just to survive winter.
