Crazy!!

So I feel terrible... I abandoned my readers and for that I deserve a 'time out'. Here's an update for the audience. First of all life has been hectic. Not terribly hectic, just hectic. I have learned a lot this year. About people and about myself.

About people I have learned that people that appear to be your friend, can pretty much turn around and tear you apart. I'm sure a lot of you know what I'm referring to, but assuming that someone cares about you and then finding out they would turn around and kick you where it hurts can be rude awakening. It was for me. I can put that all behind me and take my lessons with me in the future of my journey.

My girls are growing too fast. Isabelle started 1st grade this year. She is amazingly talented. Olivia is talking so much and knows all her colors! It's beyond adorable. On my career side a lot of changes have taken place. I have found a job that keeps me extremely busy. I have to track my time, so every time the clock's not going I know I'm not being productive. It's very different compared to where I was. In the matter of a month I've had the chance to learn so much about running an agency. It's not as easy as it looks... Just this week I had to work all weekend (it was justifiable) and thanks to the support of my hubby and help of my boss's wife, watching my girls, I was able to work and put together along with my co-workers and boss a presentation of marketing redesign for our client. Our client is in Mexico so I had to travel to this beautiful condominium / resort in Puerto PeƱasco, Mexico. It was gorgeous. (*see pics below).

I now work downtown or what we call downtown here in Arizona and it's so great being able to walk to lunch and go to all these shops that aren't around where I live. My commute is a bit heavy for my taste. There's a lot of things up in the air right now.... so our schedule (our meaning Jamel, myself and the girls) our schedules are still getting sorted out. All I know is that right now I feel like I'm moving forward and I'm not stagnant... that I'm growing and learning from various experiences that keep crossing my way. That I'm making sure I build lasting relationships and not temporary ones... right now I feel like I'm in a good spot. :)

I will be turning 28 in a little over a week! Whoa! 28! Feels a bit surreal. I'm looking forward to October. I will turn 28 and it's also our anniversary in October. Jamel and I would have been married for 7 years! I love this! I'm proud of what we have. My husband is truly amazing and I'm sure people say this often, or not, but our relationship is getting stronger.

In November my dear beloved Mel should be comming out. Melly I'm looking forward to your visit so much. And I hope to eventually schedule one your way!!! :) So again... right now I feel like I'm in a good spot. >> Life could not be sweeter! <<

Wow, and the trip to Mexico is awesome! We all need a gig like that from time to time. Sounds like the new job is a great step up!
